Can we have data guard broker and primary or physical standby db on the same machine ( I know it will cause double failure but given the requirement).
Is this possible to use on db machines using following approach.
1) Install DG broker on both db machines.
2) Install some pinging script on both db machine to check if broker is running on both the db server.
3)If primary db machine goes down pingin script will identify this and start observer on standby db and then perform failover as desired.
